MOVES TO MAKE THIS WEEK
How to use our recommendations:
- BUY: Go get these players - we think they will be available at a value. Check out our trade value chart to help put together a trade!
- SELL: These players are being valued higher than we think they should. If you have them, consider cashing out for a better player before their value drops!
- ADD: These guys are available on waivers in at least 50% of leagues - but they're worth a spot on your bench!
- DROP: To make these adds and trades, you're going to have to clear roster space. These guys are rostered in more than half of leagues, but you can safely drop them for a good waiver option.
- STREAM: These are guys with good matchups for next week! They will primarily be QB/TE's that you can pick up to cover your bye week this week!
- LEAVE TO YOUR LEAGUEMATES: These are guys that we think are just flashes in the pan. Your league mates are going to get excited and bid on them...and you should let them! Stay away.
1. ADD Mike Boone (DEN RB)
- Budding star Javonte Williams tore his ACL and is out for the season. That's an awful break for an elite young player who had a real chance to be a fantasy league winner. On a team that uses two backs pretty heavily, it creates space for Mike Boone, a solid player who actually got equal carries (and more targets) compared to Melvin Gordon in Williams' absence. Boone is a lotto ticket for sure, but the upside is there to be a good FLEX play for fantasy.
- At this point of the season, you might be able to find a tilting manager in your league who doesn't realize what he has in Chase after three straight weeks of 10 points or less in half-PPR. Better days are coming, as we saw with Justin Jefferson this week. Chase's schedule also gets super soft coming up. We still see Chase as a top-5 WR rest-of-season, so if you can flip any non-elite player for him, that's a big win.
- The Falcons pretty much split their backfield into identical 33% shares this week between Allgeier, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Caleb Huntley. Now Patterson is on IR and out for four games, making way for the rookie Allgeier to continue his rise. He's young with fresh legs and workhorse size on a run-first team - that's a high-upside combination you could pick up and play immediately if you really need to.
4. SELL Antonio Gibson (WAS RB)
- Gibson has been great so far, with consistent double-digit touch volume and a solid target share. But now is the time to sell him high for an RB with real RB1 potential like Breece Hall or JK Dobbins. Too much can go wrong for Gibson: he can get game-scripted out when Washington gets behind, his fumble issues can reappear, or rookie Brian Robinson can get healthy and start stealing snaps.
5. ADD George Pickens (PIT WR)
- Pickens has seen his workload steadily increase, and this week he was the most targeted WR on the Steelers with 8 targets! We still expect Diontae Johnson to be the clear #1 in town...but Pickens should be the #2 target, and with Kenny Pickett starting week 5, we could see this offense turn things around!
- JT has been disappointing over the first few weeks, and now it looks like he's battling an injury. If you can catch a panicking manager, then he is a screaming buy! He's still a top 3 RB rest of season for us, and you might be able to get him around an RB10 cost.
- Just when London had done enough to earn himself a spot in fantasy lineups, he had a down week, only bringing in 2 catches for 17 yards. This feels like the last chance you're going to get to buy a top 20 WR at a WR3 discount!
8. ADD David Njoku (CLE TE)
- We weren't sure if we should buy into the Njoku hype from two weeks ago, but this week he backed it up. He is clearly a focus in the gameplan for Cleveland and has definitely emerged as a streamable TE.
- Allen hasn't played since week 1 as he is battling an injury. He should be back any time now, and when he gets back into the lineup he's going to start scoring fantasy points right away. If his manager is 0-4 or 1-3 then he might be desperate to get someone he knows will be ready for week 5, and you can get Allen at a discount.
10. SELL Cordarrelle Patterson (ATL RB)
- Patterson is dealing with a lingering injury, and this week he split the backfield with two other RB's 33% each. His fantasy production on the year is high enough that you should be able to sell him...and we're afraid his target share and rushing share might continue to drop each week for the rest of the season.
11. LEAVE TO YOUR LEAGUEMATES: Jamal Agnew (JAX WR)
- Agnew did this same thing last year. A couple of blow-up games with some big fantasy production, but in an unsustainable way. Your league mates will likely see his fantasy total from week 4 and quickly add him to their waiver claims, but you being a savvy fantasy manager will know that he had 2 TDs on 4 catches and that is NOT going to happen every week. Leave him to your leagemates!
- Breece Hall got workhorse carries this week! LET'S GO!!!! After really sharing the backfield with Michael Carter in the first 3 weeks, this week it looked like he took over. He had 17 rushes and 6 targets. That's right up there with the opportunities the top 10 RBs are getting. Buy Buy Buy!
13. ADD These Rookies To Stash For Later
- If you are in a deep league, then there are some rookies that you should be adding. These guys haven't done anything to deserve a waiver claim yet...but they're showing some promising signs and starting to gain a role in their offenses.
- Alec Pierce
- Khalil Shakir
- Rachaad White
- Skyy Moore
14. STREAM Defenses vs NY Jets
- Pick up whichever defense is playing the jets each week. The Jets have emerged as the team you want to play a defense against, so keep your eyes out each week! Miami looks like a great play this week!
15. SELL Chase Edmonds (MIA RB)
- This is Raheem Mostert's backfield now. Edmonds had a decent showing in week 4, and it might be just enough for one of your league mates to be willing to buy. Literally, sell him for whatever you can. Next week he might even become droppable.
